Cucumber Poinsett

Poinsett
Standard OPV variety
Vigorous and moderately early
Short green fruits
Cucumber Poinsett is a short-fruited green cucumber variety with good plant vigor and high yields. It is comparable to the well-known Ashley variety but offers better field disease resistance. Cucumbers thrive in dense plant populations, which help create a moist microenvironment within the crop. They perform best under warm and moist growing conditions. Cucumber Poinsett fruits are cylindrical, uniform, and dark green. For optimal texture and taste, they should be harvested at around 20 cm in length and 5 cm in width, before seeds fully develop. Overgrown fruits become seed-filled, with a spongy and sour flesh
