Tomato Rodade PLUS is one of the original and founding varieties of Avanos Seeds’ PLUS product range. Tomato Rodade PLUS was bred in Zimbabwe for Zimbabwean market. Tomato Rodade PLUS is a vigorous plant type with very thick and firm stem giving the plant good upright strength. It provides good yield protected under a thick leaf cover. Fruits are round to slightly oblate and weigh on average about 140-160 grams. Fruits have a slight green shoulder when unripe and excellent deep colour when ripe. Fruits are firm and have good shipping quality. The variety is best trellised to support the heavy fruit-bearing character of this variety.

FERTILISATION GUIDE
Basal fertilizer: 600 - 1000kg Compound C or Vegetable Blend. Top: 150kg AN/ 3kg Calcium Nitrate/ 50kg Sulphate of Potash/ 25kg Mono Ammonium Phosphate applied weekly and alternatively starting at week 2 after transplanting. (This is general recommendation hence soil test should be done for correct fertilizer types and fertilizer rates)
